Monster Family submission #2
Following my design for Fire Robo I decided I should create a villian for him to battle and I came up with Scare-a-Medic. Scare-a-Medic is more of a vigilante/ Anti-Hero. He only preys on the corrupt and evil people in our society , but he does so in a violent and unlawful way. Fire Robo being the straight laced , by the book, stand up guy that he is cant let a vengeful maniac run around doing as he pleases so he attempts to stop Scare-a-Medic. I know the name Scare-a-Medic is a little goofy, but I thought it was cool in a obviously named- 60’s Marvel comic villian -sort of way.
Just like with Fire Robo, I submitted multiple incarnations of Scare-a-Medic , this being the first. I think Scare-a-Medic was my favorite of all my designs but the powers that be felt it was too similar to other “skull” designs out there. To be honest, there are probably enough Skull based characters that this one would have just been lost in the crowd so Im happy that I was steered away from this guy.
