Monster Family Submission #1
For the next few weeks Im going to be posting my submissions for what would become Monster Family. Back in 2008 I was asked by the fine folks at S7 to submit some designs for a new line of toys that featured well known and up and coming artist/ designers. I submitted about 6 designs, and after a few meetings and revisions one of my designs was chosen and now will be produced by S7 as part of the Monster Family line. How did I get so lucky? Im just a fan of JP Vinyl, and toys in general. It really is a dream come true.
This is the first drawing of what would become Fire Robo. I was drawing this late at night so you have to forgive the O2 on the cylinder, for anyone that knows, thats not correct. If you take a look at the top left corner you will see that Monster Family was originally named Monster Factory. Apparently Super 7 had to change the name due to Monster Factory being used by another toy company or something like that.
